So far this medicene has caused a terrible stomack problems but I'm on my 3d day and my UTI seems to be going away. Don't want to take it again because of stomack problems

It causes me nausea, dizziness, & diarrea, but it seems to be working fast. Woke with a very swollen salisbury gland. Most swelling receeded within 12 hours of use.

It has worked well in getting rid of the sinus infection and bronchitis however my stomach has been cramping real bad, intense cramps.

I am currently 1000mg twice a day for a bad step infection. I was feeling better within 12 hours of the medication. But it has left me with a very bitter taste in my mouth and a very dry cough. I am glad how fast it worked but I do not know if I would take it again because of the side effects.

I had a infected eyelid and within 12 hours the swelling had started to go down and they pain was gone. I was very tired during the time I was taking it but that was the only negative side effect I had.

I had what appeared to be a nasy cold for several days. It got to be where I almost was unable to talk because my throat was so irritated. By the end of day two on cephalexin my cold was almost gone and I could talk normal. The morning of day three I had a severe breakout in hives over most of my arms and legs. The doctor confirmed I'm allergic to this drug. A strep test conducted after, well, during my first hive outbreak came back negative. I started antihistamine and steroid treatment. The following night an even worse outbreak occured that also included most of my back and neck. I have used a different type of penacilin in the past with no adverse side-effects. This little $8 prescription has cost me several times that amount in other counteractive drugs along a bunch of suffering. And after all this, my cold is not completely gone. P.S. After a cold, I took this when I got burning bronchitis that quickly turned toward pneumonia. I have damaged heart valve & needed fast cure. 30 hrs later pain & green flem gone. I also take this before quarterly cleaning of my teeth to protect my heart valve. Upsets stomach, take with food. Works in spite of penicillin allergy.

Kept me up all hours of the night. Was perscribed for post op of opening of the sinus's due to chronic sinus infections.

I am on this medication post-op from having jaw surgery & it has caused severe genital itching/possible yeast infection, affected my taste buds and appetite (I don't want to eat anything because everything has a bad, bitter after- taste) and has possibly caused severe constipation, although that could also be due to the percocet. Not sure what I am taking this for exactly, but the side effects are not worth it to me so I will probably stop treatment early..not sure yet.

sores are coming back

Began working right away on an infection that had been resistant to other treatments. Some diarrhea and nausea, some disturbed sleep, capsules are rather large, but am pleased with the way this medication works quickly.

Horrible, horrible diarrhea. Gave me intense stomach cramps and also gave them to my breastfed infant. Not the best choice for a nursing mom.

Stopped the spread within 36 hours an cleared symptoms within 48 hours.

I got put on it to prevent an infection in my leg where I had a cyst removed. I had a really bad allergic reaction to it. It kinda scared me, but luckily I got off of it before it hurt me as bad as it could have.

This stuff has the worst smell. I thought it had gone bad! I called the pharmasy and they said it does have an awfull smell to it. They should tell you in advance.

Makes my child really drowsy after taking this med. But it does work in terms of cleaning out the infection.

I took 500mg every 6 hours for 10 days. After 36 hours my throat was 75% improved. After 3 days the pain was almost gone and 24 hours later it was completely gone. I had to remind myself to keep taking the medication.
