According to my current doctor, this was unnecessary and confusing as to why I was put on the drug. For over three years I had an extremely painful sensation in my stomach every day. I was seen by over 5 doctors including two gastroentinologists and a rhuma...

I took dipyridamole from age 8 to 22 to prevent blood clots in my heart. I have two coronary aneurysms that were the reason for treatment. According to my current doctor, this was unnecessary and confusing as to why I was put on the drug. For over three years I had an extremely painful sensation in my stomach every day. I was seen by over 5 doctors including two gastroentinologists and a rhumatoidologist concerning the pain. My new cardiologist told me it may be the medicine and to stop using it. Within a week or two of stopping the medication, the pain had ceased, I believe because of this. I wonder how many others have had similar problems with the drug, if any and want to let people know about the possible side effect.Read More Read Less
