I just love this spray! I have suffered for many years with allergy related sinus problems. Having sinus surgery did not help. Over the years the doctors have put me on many differednt types of meds and sprays and this is the ONLY thing that has EVER worked. Funny thing is the Astelin did not. I have no nose bleeds and I think the taste is sweet. I know this may sound corny but this little sp...

Causes even more sneezing and nose clogging. Efficiency is below zero, it makes allergy condition even worse. If you bought it accidentally, get rid of it ASAP.

Unfortunately, can't use it. The skin under my nose looked like a giant fever blister, took some time to figure out what caused it, but it was the Astepro without a doubt. Can only imagine how it was harming my sinuses ??

I took Astepro for the first time about 8:00am the other morning. By 8:00pm that night I had a full blown head cold. Now in my 4th day of it. Needless to say, I will never use it again.

Astepro would be much better if it didn't have the sickening sweeteners in it. I've been using prescription forms of this medicine for years and years and had hoped to be able to have extra so I could keep one in the car, one in the house and one at work to minimize the chance of leaving it behind. I don't take it for allergies, I take it for an abundance of thick mucus that my sinuses produce as a response to hot and cold food or beverages. When the sinuses start producing there is no way to cough that thick stuff up without assistance. I call it the "teflon spray". I hate the sugary sweetener put into this product, it coats my nose with a thick layer of sticky gunk. Read More Read Less

(Note: Astepro contains an antihistamine, azelastine HCl, as opposed to topical treatments like steroidal sprays, such as fluticasone. Both work much differently.) First time I tried Astepro, there was NO effect or relief. I might have had some relief when trying it on later occasions, but I also had been taking an oral antihistamine concurrent. Best way for me to test it is to use it alone. Ease of use is OK for me as I have been using other sprays for years. Bitter, saccharine taste in back of throat usually fades completely in an hour or 2. (It hangs on longer for other folks.) The medicine is absorbed into the system via the sinus mucosa, so effectiveness might vary dependent on the condition of individual patients' mucosa. Depending how much azelastine is absorbed, it can make people somewhat drowsy as do other antihistamines like diphenhydramine tablets, (which work better for me than any other OTC preparations). I started taking this on a Sunday and stopped on Tuesday. I had an extremely sore throat after using this and also extreme drowsiness, which is an unusual side effect for me. The sore throat was the worst part, I felt like I was getting sick all week but thankfully the side effect didn't go beyond that. But it was exhausting and to be honest a few doses of this medication ruined my whole week. For the first couple days of the week I was extremely drowsy during my one-hour commute to a job where I operate heavy machinery. I am feeling better now that I took a dose of Flonase last night. The spray seems effective but it's not worth it to me because of the side effects. I should also point out that it's easy to overdose by shooting too much into the nostril. The after taste is disgusting and IT WILL go into your mouth even if you tilt your head forward. Some reviews of this spray are very positive, but be warned that depending on your personal biology you may have a bad experience.Read More Read Less

This shoots too powerful up my nose compared to nasacort or flonase. i immediately want to gag on the taste I get, very peppery and almost burns and wants to make me sneeze for several moments. the aftertaste continues. my allergies are not improved after a few days of use and the dosing is so miserable I will not be continuing it. i tried it on sale with a coupon but will be going back to flonase or nascort.

Tried this to help with my chronic allergies and nasal congestion. Usually use Nasacort or Flonase. The ad for AstePro promised to work in 30 minutes. That was a lie. It takes much longer and is not effective at all. Will go back to one of the other nasal sprays or Claritin-D pills.

My husband & I have allergies year round, we were taking meds & using another nasal spray. Since using ASTEPRO we do not need any medicine or other nasal spray. We are very happy with our results & are recommending it to all our friends.

Waste of money. Tried it for 2 days and it made no difference at all. Sinuses and nose still congested. Didn't help even a little bit. I didn't have a problem with the taste in my mouth, but from what I could taste it has a sickening saccharine taste. Money in the trash. Big disappointment!

I used this product for allergy relief after seeing an advertisement on tv, from my experience with the product, I've come to the conclusion that it was a complete waste of my hard-earned money, it leaves a very nasty taste in my mouth and troth and has not brought me any relief from my symptoms no not even slightest relief, i used it three days in a row to be fair and give the product a chance to work, but no relief at all, i have stop taking it , because there is no benefit, to me it just another disappointing hype up product . I used Afrin for a while and it stopped working. Switched to Azelestine and have been celebrating ever since. I've been sharing my experience since I started and it's cheaper OTC than with my script. It keeps the drainage from making me cough all the time. No more morning coughing fits. I love this stuff. Yes, there is an after-taste for a while, but sooo worth it. I can tell when I miss a dose.

The bitter aftertaste was so intense and relentless… it lasted for hours and of course ruined my breakfast and lunch. I tried everything to get rid of the taste, mint gum, sweet, salty, spicy foods… nothing worked. Plus I found out it also makes you sleepy. Ugh. Never again! I want my money back.

I have nasal polyps and experience horrible drip and inflammation. Was taking Azelastine prescription and then my prescription ran out and I did not feel like going back to the ENT to get a tube up my nose and told I still have the same issue. So happy this drug is now OTC as Astepro. It is the ONLY thing that gives me relief and I dont wake up every morning gagging on mucous.
