I am a chronic pain suffer for over 20 years. Last 5 yrs spent taking oxycontin, percocet & lortab on top of celebrex. I have had 9 surgeries in 12 years and my pain is from arthritis and true nerve damage in my neck and low spine. This drug is doing wonders for my pain. I am starting on the 50mg 6x a day like everyone else. Today is a month of treatment and I have noticed far less pain. I guess...

I've had issues in the past with Norco and Percocet with nausea and vomiting, so doc gave me this to try after surgery. It worked great, no vomiting and little nausea. Pain was well controlled.

I have CRPS. Have taken many different types of drugs for pain relief. I also have had problems with sciatic nerve in lower back. This drug has given me the most pain relief. Will have to go to the next dose up to see if I can get more relief. I am glad I have tried it and will see how it goes.

I have been diagnosed with neuropathic issues. I take # 3; 75 mg. twice daily. It does help. I went back to Vicodin t see which was more helpful. I find I would need #3 doses daily to IN order to retain the pain relief needed to fully live my life.

I have been referred to 10 (ten) different doctors for my condition. I experience a burning sensation at the end of my finger tips. It feels that electricity is alive in my arm. I have had X-Rays, MRI's, EKG's, and nerve studies. One doctor performed surgery, (a carpal tunnel release). Nothing worked to reduce or eliviate the pain. Doctor #10 prescribed Nucynta. It has really worked well to reduce the pain. I would love to have a long-term solution, however; for now I am grateful for the relief I get from this prescribed drug. Read More Read Less

Since atake nucynta my pain has been reduced from a 9/level to a 2/level. I am satisfied with how the medication helps my pain. Like it better than the Norco-s I've been taking. No acute side affects.

I take nucynta for chronic severe back pain and diabetic neuropathy. I take the 100mg tablets. This medication has helped when other have failed it does an excellent job however one must be aware of the addiction problem that drugs like these present but with proper attention nucynta can be taken without worry.

whatever you do, do not take nucynta 75 mg, with methadone, benecar, zanex, I've had what i thought was a life threatening reaction when taken with these. My chest hands & feet had a tingling kind of shock feeling, and that feeling was so intense, i felt a sense of dread come over me. When taken without, the other medications mentioned before, i had no side effects. I only had this experience with the 75 mg. for some reason, the 50 mg did not affect me in a negative way. The medication alone is fine, for pain. but i think the company that manufactures this drug should put more warning labels on it.Read More Read Less

I just started taking the Nucynta 2 days ago. It is great! After my surgery in May I had Percocet 7.5 and then Norco 7.5 and the Percocet did good but I wanted to sleep all the time and the Norco did not help at all! Norco made me really sick feeling and I got really pale and felt like I was going to pass out so my doctor told me to try this new drug that is stronger than the Norco but shouldn't effect me like that because everone she gave it to has had alot of good things to say about it. So I started taking it that day and about 1 hour later I could feel NO pain! It did give me that drunk feeling for a little while but went away about another hour later. It is the best pain med I have been on since I got hurt 1 and 1/2 years ago. I feel like this may be the thing that will actually do what its purpose is unlike the other meds I have been on! I have found that nucynta has really helped with my pain. I have been taking it for about 2 weeks now. But I do have some weird side effects from it. Dizzy, excessive thirst, and feeling just off/in lala land. But this is the first drug I have tried in awhile that really does make a difference. Im hoping the side effects are just short term. I was on darvocet prior to this and feel it works much better than it.
