My personal experience with Natazia is amazing. Previously I used Nuvaring, which made me extremely moody and irrational, lowered sex-drive, and gave me leg pain, which made me feel like I was always on the verge of a blood clot. With Natazia I have had no symptoms, and I rarely get my period, even on the white pill days. At the most I get a little spotting and cramping on those days. After my exp...

I've been pleased with the effectiveness as far as not becoming pregnant, something that wasn't the case with my previous BC. However, I'm glad my last Natazia pill was yesterday because it's been 18 months of awful. I've experienced severe weight gain, numbness in my legs, sleep problems, extreme mood swings, increased PMS symptoms, horrid cramping, and irregular periods (although there was a s...

I'm probably the oldest person who has commented on the medication. I am perimenopausal and have been using this to treat the symtoms. One being irregular and heavy periods. I have taken MANY BC pills -one by one I would experience breakthrough bleeding - then bleed HEAVILY for a week. I was started on Natazia to have shorter and lighter "periods" during the time I would have a scheduled period (placebo pills). I have been on this medication for a year and 1/2 and unfortunately I can't say I have "regulated" yet! I will have several days of no spotting - then several days of spotting. Sometimes my periods are two days - light. And then sometimes - around the 3rd month I have a 12 day period! Awful! I will have begun the next pill pack - and I will still bleed into the second week of te pack. I will say - you MUST take this pill no more than 14 hours apart. Try, try, try to not forget or skip or start your pill pack late. Be very regimented! Still - I've done that and had a several day period. Yes - Acne. For a while I didn't experience it - but now very bad on my chin. Not all the time - it comes and goes. Breat tenderness - funny - I had not experience it at all - not much - then this past month they have been VERY tender and swollen (that's not a bad side effect!) I haven't had the headaches. (knock on wood!) Mood swings...no more than usual. Still spotting...usually heavier spotting the last week before my "period" starts. I will say one thing no one has spoken about - odor. When I was taking other pills - when I would spot or have my period I would get that "period odor" - we all know how it goes. NO ODOR on this pill!!! I read where it "alters the chemistry of the cervical mucus" - must be what is happening. And that is a BIG plus for me. I do NOT like to smell!! I will cont. to take. Better than alternative which is Uterine ablation. Good Luck!Read More Read Less

I hadn't taken any bc for about three years so I expected to be nauseous and miserable, but wasn't. However my sex drive became non-existant. Also, I have straight, light brown hair and after a few weeks taking Natazia I started noticing curly, black, wirery hairs all over my head. They stick straight up in the air and seem to grow overnight!!! I had to change bc because my hair got so bad!!

I took natazia continuously (skipped placebo) due to endometriosis for 3 years. I had no side effects severe enough to stop taking the pills. At first it did take a few months to completely stop my periods but after that it worked well for several years. I did have the occasional headache , breast tenderness, and some nausea but not severe. At the end of several years I did you end up switching only because I started to experience breakthrough bleeding. Since I have endometriosis it is recommended to not have any periods at all and therefore I am starting a new kind today, otherwise I never would have changed. I would recommend this product based on my personal experience.Read More Read Less

I have been on Natazia for almost a year now. I haven't been on b/c for over 10 years(husband had vasectomy) but my gyn recommended it due to long and very heavy periods. So far it has corrected the problem. It has also helped keep my weight lower and reduced my acne. There is one major drawback that I've found, lack of sex drive! At the beginning of the pack (pink pills) it's very high but the rest of the month it's almost non-existent. My husband isn't too happy but it's hard to give it up when there are so many pros. I'm a 40 year old healthy woman and would recommend this pill.Read More Read Less

Before Natazia I had tried at least 6 other pills, had problems with migraine's on every one. Rarely get them now. I have noticed that once I hit the red pills I am EXHAUSTED for about a week. I also noticed that I seem to have PMS symptoms twice a month instead of once, but this seems to happen on every pill that I am on after a while so I can't really blame that on this particular pill.

I've been on this medication for a little over a month, but I've already been through 2 pill packs. My doctor says to double up when the bleeding is severe. Today alone I just took my 3rd pill to try and stop the bleeding and it's not doing anything. These are sugar pills as far as I'm concerned.

I had tried 2 different oral birth controls, Yaz (yikes!) and Ortho-tricyclen lo. I had bad side-effects on the Yaz, so I switched to the Ortho which caused me to have spotting 24/7. I then tried NuvaRing. I immensely enjoyed the ring for 2 months (no daily pills, lighter to non existent periods) and then all heck broke loose. Extremely painful breast tenderness, swelling of the breasts (I'm talking an entire cup size), depression, anxiety, increased heart-rate, etc. It was awful. Then my doctor placed me on Natazia. I've been on it for 4 months now, no spotting, light periods, less emotional side effects. It seems to be working for me after a whole bunch of dead-ends when it comes to birth control. I recommend trying it if nothing else has worked for you because as of right now it seems to be the breakthrough for me. Read More Read Less

This has been the best BCP I have ever been on. Other pills made me moody, and didn't feel like myself. Therefore, because of the price of Natazia, I will have to switch. I have been on it for 2 years. At first I experience acne breakout, but it went away in the 2nd month. If money wasn't the issue I would continue to take.

In addition to causing some of the more "typical" side effects such as breakthrough bleeding, headaches, and mild depression, I also realized Natazia was the cause of my non-bacterial Cystitis-Like symptoms! After two months of not being able to kick a "UTI" that wasn't actually a UTI, I decidied to stop Natazia cold-turkey (I was at my wit's end). The next day, my Cystitis symptoms went away! It is listed as a RARE side effect, and my doctors kept assuring me my birth control wasn't the cause of my symptoms, but as soon as I started the pill, the symptoms started to develop (lulling during my period). As soon as I stopped, so did my UTI-Like symptoms. Coincidence? Time will tell, but I doubt it. Read More Read Less

After trying 4 different BC pills post surgical laparoscopy for endometriosis ( stage 4) and multiple ovarian masses I finally found Natazia. I spotted for months ( every stinkin day plus a breakthrough week of bleeding even while on active pills) with Junel, then generess fe I put on 7 lbs in 1 month, plus spotting. I was ready to give it up and just let the masses grow back and the endo rage on and as a last ditch effort we tried Natizia. I've been on it for two months no without a period without a single day of spotting. Lost all the weight, limited bloating and light mood swings. I feel so normal! Thank you Natazia!!Read More Read Less

The first two months I had no obvious side effects of natazia. It seemed to be extremely effective controling my heavy bleeding. However, after two and a half month I noticed my facial skin condition marked by red and painful nodules.

I've been taking Natazia for about six months. Previously I was on the Mirena IUD and had no periods. I started taking Natazia the day I had my IUD removed. I still have not had a period. :) No major side effects from it that I have noticed except for a little moodiness.

I have been taking Natazia for about 2 years now and it has been the best that I've tried. I've tried 5 different kinds that made me emotional, angry, have breakthrough bleeding and gain weight. With Natazia it has actually maintained the lowest weight I've been since 17 and helped my acne. I would recommend that women try this as I wish I knew about it sooner!

I was placed on Natazia about 6 months ago after having an ovarian cyst. After 2 months on the pill, the cyst went away. However, I have taken other oral birth control pills where I did not have the same side effects. My breasts are very sore mid-way through the pack and I still get cramping toward the end, but hardly ever get a period. Out of the 6 months, I've only had it 3 times. I pay more money for this pill and then up spending extra on pregnancy tests that come back negative. My doctor seems to think it is normal and says 10% of people don't get their period on birth control. I know that sometimes you don't get your period when you have an ovarian cyst as well, so I still get freaked out that something is wrong. It also seems very confusing what to do if you miss a pill, although I have not run into that situation yet. I will be asking my doctor if I can switch to another pill when I see her for my annual visit (if not before).Read More Read Less

I gained 20 pounds in four months on Natazia. I knew weight gain was a side effect of this particular pill when I switched to it, but I was totally unprepared for it to be so sudden. I tried increasing my level of activity and changing my diet but nothing worked. As soon as I stopped taking the pill I lost six of those pounds in a week.

I started taking this pill as a method of birth control, as well as persistent problems I've had with maintaing a regular period..Like I was told, I started the pack of pills on the first day of my period. I was unable to finish a week's worth dosage of this pill..the side effects were unliveable! I cried constantly for absolutely no reason whatsoever, and the smallest and most irrelevant comments made to me by anyone instantly ticked me off. My worst episode happened the day I decided to stop taking the pill..i am NOT a violent person whatsoever and never raise my voice to anyone. I had a major freakout that day, which led me to have a panic attack that lasted about an hour or so (which by the way, has never happened before...) After that, I did not take the pill that night. Within 2 days after stopping the pill, I feel like myself again! I am SO much happier and definitely notice a difference between my personality while on the pill and after. I know every person's body has different reactions to every type of pill, but with the experience I had, I do not recommend this pill to ANYONE (that's how bad of an experience I felt I had...)Read More Read Less

I have tried at least 5 different pills all having different side effects such as spotting throughout the month or 2 weeks straight, but I have not experienced this with Natazia at all! The first month I did have a week where I was a complete psycho but that went away in month two. The only thing is that I get a headache a few days before it starts. Now I can pinpoint my periods to almost the minute that I should get it and it lasts about 4 days. Love it! Hope it stays like this!
