The only thing about this medicine when you first start taking. It made me itch real bad.

I am fine with medication,just tired

After having nightime sleep interrupted for 2 weeks with a severe cough, the DOC diagnosed bronchiatis. After a few doses, I sleep like a baby. And with an anti-biotic, my condition has improved within 3 days. Highly recommended

I had a bad case of asthma,and bronchitis,however this is the third bottle because the Dr. doesn't RX enough of it to get me completely better ans I have to go back again and again until I get better,but this cough medication is the best thing to take for really bad cough's

Slept very well. Next day grogginess and dulled thinking. Worth it. Cough is gone.

Extremely pleased with the effectiveness in treating cough, but after 2 doses (14 hrs apart)patient began hallucinating. Possibly an interaction of some sort. Twenty-four hours after last dose, he is some better. Discontinuing use at this time.

This medicine helps me with a chronic cough that I've had for years, but I only take it when I really need to. My Dr. used to prescribe 90-day supplies (costs me $80) and I'd usually ask for a refill in 120 or more days BUT my Dr moved to another state and I CAN'T FIND ANY DR WHO WILL PRESCRIBE MORE THAN A 10-day amount for $30!!! Please loosen the noose on this drug so people like me can use the ONLY THING THAT WORKS! Obviously I'm not addicted cuz I can't get anymore & have no adverse effects BUT NOW I HAVE NO LIFE EITHER, as I hate to go out & choke till I gag or vomit in grocery stores or parties, etc!!! I'm becoming a recluse now (as I was before). I'm SOOO upset!!! Blue Cross won't help. Medco won't help. It's frustrating!Read More Read Less

Chronic cough for months..dr still working on cause, however this is a life saver! Stops cough all night, otherwise couldn't sleep. Not good for the daytime though makes you drowsy.

My continual cough was "non-productive." After first dose of Tussionex, my congestion started breaking up. I had felt like I had a brick in my chest. Now its easier to breath with out the mucus congestion. Still some to go, but its working. Some itching (didn't know that was Tussionex till I read other reviews). Now that I know, I'll drink lots more water. Perky during the day ... sleeping very well at night. Good stuff!

Cough associated with lung problems. Worked well, caused mild insomnia sometimes and always a drowsy feeling. Very medicine head feeling. Killed the cough, was on it almost two years until lungs healed. Flu like symptoms at the end of use.

In the midst of my symptoms it did not tame the cough

My first dose didn't work, but when I took my second dose, 12 hours later, it was definitely noticable. Normally narcotics don't work on me, but this one removed that urge to cough. Unfortunately it wore off a few hours before my next dose was scheduled, but other than that it is a life saver. The only bad thing is that it makes it difficult to think on complex activities, especially with driving. I would recommend taking it easy the days you are on this.

I was diagnosed with bronchitis and lower right sided pneumonia. This cough syrup is truly a life saver! within 20 minutes of taking this my cough settles down a lot!! and it is very long lasting. The only problem for me, is that i can't sleep, but hydrocodone does that to me, i do get very very tired and I can rest, but I can not actually sleep. but i'll still use it and recommend it!

i was given this for pneumonia. It was very effective, however it did make me very drowsy. I would no recommend driving or any activity that requires awareness

This drug is without question the gold standard for cough relief. It is truly comfort in a bottle if you have a bad cold. A word of caution though, if you are not used to taking opiates, you may want to begin with a smaller than prescribed dose to see how it effects you. I believe each teaspoon contains 10mg hydrocodone...strong stuff!
