I started taking this pill when i was 17, and have been on it for 4 years. I remember before the pill my periods were very painful, and usually lasted about 9 days. The entire time on this pill my periods have been very normal and predictable, much shorter and less painful. I am about to start tri linyah, after talking to my doctor about the acne i've been excperiencing for the past 6 months to a ...

I've been taking this birthcontrol for just over 10 days and have been sporting unexplainable acne on my face through that time. I've never broken out quite like this before. My bedding is clean and my diet is pretty much the same. I was switched on to this by my doctor, was previously taking Lutera without any complaints. Wanted to chime in to see if is acne has been an issue for anyone else.

I've only been on this medication for about 2 months. I started March 17th and it is currently May 3rd. The first month was fine, but just three days later on April 20th I started experiencing terrible side effects. I started getting really dizzy and then suffered a panic attack soon after. I then had diarrhea and severe nausea for about a week and a half along with throwing up twice. The nausea for the most part had subsided but the dizziness is still very persistent. I also started abnormally bleeding that keeps getting heavier. I've been having terrible anxiety attacks as well. Sleeplessness and waking up extremely anxious and nervous for no reason. My doctor told me I had to finish my third pack before I can be switched because it might get better before it gets worse. I think it's absolutely ridiculous because these side effects are ruining my life. I've never felt like this before. I just want to be myself again. UGHH. Read More Read Less

I'm actually pretty happy with this bc so far, it's only been 3 weeks but my acne has actually seemed to clear up a bit rather than breaking out like a few others have said. I'm hoping that once my body fully adjusts I will barely get any. (one of the main reasons I wanted to get put on bc). I felt sick and had bad headaches the first week but I feel no different now than I did before I started taking it. My chest and arm acne has went away as well.

I have been on Falmina for the last month and a half. I had really irrational PMS at first and got irritated more. It doesn't seem to be as much now. I experienced tender breasts but that hasn't been as bad now. I also have had more cravings for sweets and I have lost a lot of motivation. I don't know if that is related to the birth control at all but I saw other users also put that. I wonder if Falmina slows your metabolism down? I don't think I have gained weight- if so it hasn't been too significant- my clothes still fit. But I feel more bloated. It has been a pretty normal experience, I was expecting it to be a lot worse than it has been. I think all birth control will affect our bodies in some way. It is an adjustment and I guess you just have to make sure the pros outweigh the cons.Read More Read Less

I have been using Falmina for 2 months now, I have severe Endometriosis and i decided a 2 year break from being on the Depo Vera for 6 years straight as that was the only thing that helped my Endometriosis. So after 2 year braek from BC pills I went to PPH and my Doctor recommended this for me for my Endometriosis and I have to say, I really wish I could give her a huge hug and thank her, after going to OBGYN's, specialists and trying SO many medications and BC's to try and combat my Endometriosis, the Depo Vera I thought was my only option, the only thing that would work for me and as much as I loved what it did for me and help subside my Endometriosis, I would get really nauseous and feel weak the first two days after every shot I got, Falmina I haven't noticed any side effects, except maybe possible unusual sweating when I am trying to sleep, but I can't say for sure if thats a side effect or just my hormones. Of course everyone will have different reactions to medications, just keep trying to find one that works for you :)Read More Read Less

I noticed some hair loss after starting this birth control. I've always been retaining a lot of water weight even though I eat very healthy and regularly workout. But it's made my periods a lot shorter and super light which is great. I'm not pregnant so it's doing a pretty good job, knock on wood.

I've been on this pill since august now and I'm not pregnant yet so thats good. And the bloating has gone down but I still get break outs, and really bad cramps. to the point where I'll have to lay down or I'll pass out. and the day my period starts i get so sick i throw up. Not to mention the mood swings. There will be days where I'm so depressed I can't get out of bed and other days I scream at anyone who bothers to speak to me. The only thing that it does help is shortening the period and making it lighter. Oh and not getting pregnant is a plus too.Read More Read Less

I was on this for an entire year. In that year I started having 2 heavy periods instead of one. I was bloated 100% of the time as well as sluggish, very moody, depressed, and I developed anxiety. The exact opposite of what this was intended for. I tried so hard to make it work, never missed a dose or a pill, and took at the same exact time every day. Worst birth control I've ever been on.

I have been on this birth control for almost a year and I have noticed weight gain, change in appetite, mood swings, depression, and anxiety. I'm stopping this pill before things get worse! It's stopped me from getting pregnant and having my periods better, but overall I would not recommend this.

I've been taking these pills going on 4 months and I have definitely noticed a change in myself. Mood swings, no motivation, appetite changes, pains in my chest and arms and the acne..oh the acne. My periods have become shorter and lighter and I don't experience cramps anymore which is a plus. But these pills definitely make me feel different. I'm going to stick it out and see how it goes but I'm skeptical that it'll get any better. Just seems to be something new every month.

Terrible experience with this birth control. I was on it from November until I had a large ovarian cyst rupture on Feb. 18th. I had never experienced Pms or Pmdd symptoms before switching to this. Way too much estrogen for my body.

Switched to Falmina after using Aviane because Aviane was giving me my period every other week. Have been on Falmina for 9 months now and has helped shrink my cysts and give me lighter and shorter periods. Also I haven't had an acne break out since starting it. Very very happy.

I was switched from Aviane at the pharmacy. The pill does work but I have been getting acne a lot more than when I was on Aviane. They have left acne scars on my face.

this is the worst birth control ever. I was switched to this from aviane because my pharmacy ran out of aviane. I called my gynecologist to confirm it would not be difference from aviane and they were WRONG. I have been on it for ONE week and I have had severe migraines, nauseousness, anxiety, and chest pains. If anyone is considering this birth control I would HIGHLY recommend not going on it. I have been on some bad birth controls but this is the worst. I recommend Aviane it is the BEST birth control out there.Read More Read Less

I have been on Falmina for 3 months and at first very hormonal and sometimes angry for no reason. After the scecond pack that all subsided thank goodness. But my periods are much shorter and my boyfriend and I dont use condoms or the pull out method and i have not gotten pregnant! The only thing i dont really like about it is i start spotting usually in the third row of the pack and its annoying. But other than that i have actually lost weight on the pill due to good diet and exercise and not giving in to my increased appetite. So i recommend it!Read More Read Less
