It has relieved pain and swelling in knees so I can walk without pain. I do use generic and works fine.

Yesterday I awoke with awful pain in my left hip and lower back due to osteoarthritis and the muscle spasms were terrible but after taking a 200mg capsule of celecoxib my pain was virtually gone within two hours = this is a miracle drug for osteoarthritis pain.

was prescribed this for 10 days before having cortisone injection for heel spur. Not effective at all. No change in pain or swelling. It did make my legs swell up quite alot however which now makes for more problems.

I have osteoarthritis in my hips, fingers and one knee. I take no medication regularly, provided that I get 3g of fish oil daily from food or supplements and regular exercise. However, when my arthritis flares up, I need an NSAID and when Voltaren was ineffective 4 years ago, my doctor suggested Celebrex which I have taken ever since when needed, usually 100mg twice a day. I have never had any problem with side effects and, unlike most NSAIDs, I can take it on a fairly empty stomach.

Celebrex and celecoxib are the EXACT SAME pill. I complained to my doctor about the generic form and wanted the real celebrex back. I still had some of the celecoxib and compared the two. They are the same pill, same colors, same numbers (both have 7767 on 1 line, 200 on the 2nd line), everything. EXCEPT that celebrex costs more than celecoxib. What is up with this?

Took TEVA Celecobix but my body does not react to it the way the original Celebrex did. The pain was not gone, and had to take a second dose which resulted in allergic reaction. What got changed from the original? Will stop using them and rely on the one that did the work!!

While this drug relieved arthritis pain, I was afraid of the possible side effects(heart attack, stomach bleeding) and after 6 months I stopped this drug and am trying alt methods.
