I was given this for the pain associated with chronic fatigue syndrome and within hours of taking the first one I went numb down one side and felt very weak and dizzy, confused. I didn't take another and had awful headaches for months after. I've had strange shaky stars before my eyes many times since. I took them 2 years ago and the numbness, weakness and weird stars are still a problem for me...

Last week, I had a small rotator cuff tear in the right shoulder. It swelled up and created significant pain. I had no mobility of my right arm at all. I couldn't even put my hand in my pocket. After 3 days with Naprosyn, the swelling and pain subsided. Mobility returned. I have a dull ache now and that fades each day. I took it with a full meal vs a glass of water because of its potency and warnings for proper and safe use. Since the rotator cuff doesn't heal itself, my doctor advised surgery to repair or use Naprosyn on an as needed basis if it flares up again. I declined surgery at this time because I am confident in using Naprosyn again if needed. Read More Read Less

It cleared up in inflammation in the muscles on my chest but caused an even worse stomache. If I knew this was how it would make me feel I would have stuck with the chest pain.

I 'm supposed to take 250mgs. 2xs a day, but i only taken 4 pills in 2 days and now my legs are swollen and they are hurting from the fluid build up! I'm not to sure what to do as one time i developed rabdomialisis, and i feel like this med. is causing me to develop it again and i'm going to stop this med., and see if the swelling goes away, and if so then i will need to report this to the Dr.! 9-11-2009 P>S> has anyone else had this side effect to date that has yet to note on Web MD? For a brief period I was on lithium and had to stop taking naproxen. The pain that returned to my joints was almost excruciating. When the lithium didn't work I was able to start taking naproxen again(500mg b.i.d.)and the pain is almost completely gone. I didn't even realize how much the naproxen had helped me until I was without it for a while.

huaI'm taking Naproxen 500mg for Lumbar spinal stenosis and still having some pain. I have been on naproxen for 3 months and it sometimes makes me nauseous. Is this a good long-term medicine for this condition? I also take hydrocodone for the pain.

Prescribed for swelling and pain (arthritis) in my ankle. Dr. said it would take a couple days, pain and tenderness went away within a few hours and lasted a long time. For the first time in months I have gotten out of bed and not limped or had to use a cane. On second day fo treatment and I can stand and walk without any help. Mind nausea for about 90 minutes after taking a dose but it was tolerable. Nothing that adding a piece of toast or crackers after taking won't solve.
