My acne has gotten worse after about 6 months of taking this. I have breakouts all month around my chin.

Pharmacist switched my prescription from Junel FE 1/20 to Noreth/e Es Fe(blisovi)tab 28 1/20 without consulting my doctor. Horrible side effects. Elevated/erratic mood swings (PMS all month, basically), random breast pain, swelling in legs and ankles (edema), irregular menstrual cycles, and an increase in menstrual cramping, headaches, and acne. Effective only in preventing pregnancy.

So I read a lot of the comments and I’m actually really surprised that there was so many negatives. Please let me start by saying everyone’s body is completely different ladies. So I wouldn’t go based off any of the comments. Sometimes u have to try it to see how ur body will react to it. What is good for someone else might not be good for u. As for me this pill cleared up my acne. Periods were 3 days and light. Like any new medication your body has to adjust so u feel the nausea for a little and mood swings. Cramps are not as bad as when I was off the pill. I gave my self a 5 month break from the pill and honestly I can’t handle the pain I feel anymore and have decided to start again. Since it helped me so much. Read More Read Less

Ladies, this pill has been the biggest most positive life changer I've been so fortunate to have. I've spent many years trying different hormone and non hormone birth control options and had absolutely sworn off any and all hormones since I had tried pretty much everything on the market. Over the last couple of years I've developed extremely painful periods that have kept me from functioning at all. I became open to whatever my ob/gyn wanted to try so we tried blisovi fe four months ago and not only have I been able to bypass my period completely, I have zero side effects :) Nothing at all!! No spotting, weight gain headaches tenderness - nada. I'm so grateful for this you have no idea!!Read More Read Less

when i first start the pill 4-5 months ago, i was previously on the bc shot (which was horrible because i had breakthrough bleeding from the second i got the shot for 4 MONTHS) i didn’t have any crazy side affects probably because i was already on the shot. i get my “period” when it’s supposed to. no other bleeding throughout the month. i get emotional every now and then. acne isn’t too bad, only on my forehead but i think it’s because i have oily skin so i get some breakouts but nothing major. I have been taking blisovi for about 2 years. In the beginning the side effects were preety rough (headaches, nauseous, mood swings.) I use to take the pill in the morning but would always get nauseous in the afternoon. After three months my bodies hormones leveled out and my side effects decreased drastically. I also switched the time of when i take the pill. Highly recommend. This is the second brand of bc i've tried and i'm very happy with the results.

If you are thinking about taking this... beware!!! I had extreme mood swings so much so I would be so irritated in the drop of a hat and then become super depressed out of nowhere. Boob soreness never went away and overal I felt like crap on this. I haven't had acne since a teen and I got such severe acne after a month of taking. I just switched pills a few weeks ago.... holy moly I feel the difference!! Do yourself a favor and do not take this!! My acne is seizing and no more boob soreness thank goodness.Read More Read Less

I am pretty pleased with this bc. It does its job, despite my own fault for forgetting sometimes. Small and easy to swallow. I had mood swings at first but I evened out about 2 weeks into it. No exorbitant weight gain that I have noticed. Overall fine

SUPER unhappy with this BC. I read the reviews here before taking it and hoped I wouldn't have a similar experience because it's what I was described but it's HORRIBLE. Frequent breakthrough bleeding with regular accurate use, sore breasts all the time(feels like they are bruised) super hormonal - could cry at the drop of the hat. Frequent cramps the entire month. Pros- Easy to swallow pill, probably effective at preventing pregnancy, do feel like it helped to clear up my skin a bit, and the cramps during my actual period were manageable without medication. NOT WORTH the side effects 100% at all, strongly recommend asking for a different prescription if that's what you were prescribed. I did a 3 month cycle and I'm switching back to my old brand. Really bad experience, I cannot stress this enoughRead More Read Less

This is the first oral contraceptive I've used. Stayed on it only for two months before switching to a different pill. Breakthrough bleeding was so bad that I bled for the entirety of the time I was on this pill. Really beat the purpose of taking birth control since I couldn't even be intimate with my partner because of the nonstop bleeding I had (and it was heavy bleeding too).

I took this medication as a bridge between getting off the depo shot and trying to conceive. I've had no issues and my periods are regulated nicely even after going from having no periods on depot to having them. My only issue with this is that my breasts hurt! They feel like they're bruised when touched or nudged by arm movements or sleeping. :( otherwise, they're easy to use and minimal side effects. (I have been on accutane so acne is not an issue for me.. If I took this before accutane, I'd probably have the same acne issues!)Read More Read Less

I used this drug for 3 months. Used it to skip periods by continuously taking the active pills, and this was great. This pill caused me to have an increase in oil all over my skin (hair, face, body) and caused me to have large cystic acne breakouts. Prior to taking this my skin was clear aside from a small pimple once a month. This was the only side effect. I’m in my 30’s and can’t deal with thit acne so I switched.

First time user of birth control. In the beginning i experienced headaches and a bit of nausea but they werent unbearable. I had a small break out of acne (like 2-4 zits) on my chin. My mood has been normal. The purpose of taking the b/c was so I could have regular cycles. When my period actually came during the 4th week its been really heavy and cramping and back pain like no other. The doctor told me that it could take 3 months for my body to adjust, so I am hoping that the heavy bleeding and cramping isnt so bad next month. Overall ive been pleased with this medication. Acne is worse but overall it's horrible as I have had 1 (super light) period in 4 months! The light period was when I started it. I haven't been active but I took 3 pregnancy tests anyway an they were negative.

This has given me the worst head aches I have ever had in my life, the worst nausea to the point of dry heaving, as if I were pregnant with morning sickness. This pill makes me feel tired towards the middle of the day, and makes me feel overall weak almost like im either I am pregnant or on my monthly daily. I am going to see if I an get anon hormonal pill. cause this is miserable.

I am on my first month of this drug. So the only side effects I've dealt with are occasional migraines and nausea. Other than that I am pretty satisfied with the results.
