This product is effective. Take only one at a time (i took two once and was crying in pain). You should also plan to take it only when you can afford to have some quality bathroom time. You may need a few trips to the bathroom as it works through your system. Don't take it the day that you have something really imortant to do. I took it at 9 p.m. and it worked its way through at about 10 a.m. ...

I had received free samples of Dulcolax laxative tablets and took one two nights ago around 10PM. I woke up in the morning with moderate cramping, and while on my commute was feeling uncomfortable. I had jury duty that morning and as soon as the case began, I started feeling incredibly nauseous and hot, as well as crampy, and hobbled embarrassingly to the bathroom. There I stayed for 30 minutes hu...

I was constipated for 4 days and decided that its time to get some laxatives. I took these laxatives and they eased my stomach pain for a few hours. At11-6pm I was experiencing no pain whatsoever which was a relief. at 8pm on the same day I started having these severe sharp pains and couldnt sleep throughout the whole night. The pains were awful to the point where I was crying my eyes out but safe to say these are worth the pain. I wake up at 8am the next day only having 1 hour of sleep and I feel nauseous and I try to poo but nothing comes out. At around 10am it worked. Id reccomend these tablets but at your own risk they do cause intense stomach pain and sharp pains . Read More Read Less

If you value your life and sanctity of your bowels, I would NOT recommend this. I’m officially on day 2 and liquid acid is still spewing out of me after every meal. I have no idea what a “soft” laxative entails anymore after my entrails have been subjected to the opposite of soft; rough sandpaper squeezing through my intestines and out my now burning anus. To start, I took ONE pill at 9pm about two days ago to try before I go in for my colonoscopy. It’s not for another few weeks but the directions were asking for 4 pills of Dulcolax. I hadn’t used this laxative in the past (surprisingly considering my bowel problems) and wanted to test it out prior to my surgery. I took ONE, I repeat, ONE pill at 9pm and went to bed. I wake up at 4:30am in a sweat, I feel like I’m the Virgin Mary & I unknowingly am birthing a baby Jesus. Contraction after contraction, I ease myself into my bathroom until I finally release a regular bowel movement. I think, “Painful but I’m glad it’s over. Not too bad.” Oh boy, was I wrong. For the next three hours, my home was my toilet bowl. The nausea was icing on the cake. I finally was completely juiced out, drained beyond every measure, and went back to bed. Had to call out of work and ate nothing but soup and bread due to nauseousness. Today, felt okay. Not great but I thought I was moving on with my life. Went to work then decided to go out to eat with my roommates for my birthday. Had a good time until halfway through my meal, I was getting a bit of pain. Was almost ready to go, just had to pay but I couldn’t take it anymore. Sorry to the Texas Roadhouse near the Denny’s because I just blew that bathroom up. Never have I ever blasted a bathroom that fast or badly in public. It was astonishing at that point, not even embarrassing. I exited within 5 min. and we left. I’m now typing this from the toilet in my own bathroom and I just gotta say, if you value anything about yourself — your dignity, your bodily autonomy, etc — DO NOT GET DULCOLAX. Read More Read Less

Christ! Why is this an OTC medication!? I had some constipation, bloating and light cramping from travelling. Took two about 10pm and woke up at 6am in extreme pain from cramping. Got up to go to the bathroom and nothing happened. Tried to go back to sleep but the pain was so bad I was audibly groaning in pain. Was getting concerned I should call a doctor and felt like my body was trying to give birth to a pile of barbwire. 2 hours later I had a very solid bowel movement and hoped that was the end of the experience. It's 7.5 hours since I first woke up in pain and I've had several loose bowel movements and the pain is still so bad, I had to stop working and retreat to the sofa. Thankfully I work from home, I never would have made it to an office today! I can't believe this medication is over the counter and that the box should ever advise taking more than 1! This experience was so much worse than my original symptoms.Read More Read Less

I wish so much I'd read the reviews first. If I had I wouldn't have taken it. Pure evil tummy cramps and pain reminded me of early labour. Pouring with sweat and faint and dizzy. Yes I did go toilet. No it wasn't worth it. Don't use a stimulant laxative is my new mantra. I'd rather wait 3 days for laxido to work!!!! I'm surprised they sell this over the counter. I would NEVER give any to my kids. Going straight in the bin

First off if you haven't gone for two weeks call a doctor do not take more than 2 pills at once try 1 first then 24 hrs try 2. This is designed to lube your intestines so you poo moves along. It's not designed to clean you out.using more than recommended will give your cramping read the damn label. Honestly if 2 pills don't work you need too manage what you eat.then call a doctor. Eating pizza everyday is just crazy. Self control is needed

The worst experience of my life. DONT DO THIS! So I've been constipated for a while due to stress, I couldn't find my usual meds so I took 1 of these. I woke up at 5 am the next morning with the cramps you expect and went to the loo and before i knew it my entire body was pulsing and drenched in sweat. I passed out. When I came too my partner was handing me water and paracetamol, I must have passed out again because when I came to the meds and water were on the floor. After voiding my bowels, I tried to sleep, but every time I laid down severe pain penetrated my abdomen. After that every time I tried to go all I passed was blood. I went to the local drop in on the advice of 111, after an examination they sent me to A&E. I then spent the next 4 hours on a gurney curled up in intense pain and agony. They took blood tests (which I've a massive phobia of) which thankfully came back normal. They sent me home with orders for a follow up with the GP. The bleeding eventually stopped at 6am Wednesday, unfortunately I'd only gotten 2 to 3 hours of sleep that night due to the pain. It's now Thursday and I'm still in pain and still struggling to eat or even want to eat. I honestly think this medicine is dangerous.Read More Read Less

Works brilliantly well, i thought i needed a real food clean out so i took 2 before bed at 10pm, i woke up at 4am with a real sore tummy and spent the next 10 minutes doing my business. Went back to bed but awoke again at 6am with a real sore tummy again and this is when i really cleaned out my bowels big time ,had god awfull diarrhea for around 30 minutes like as thin as water. I felt like a new man after it was over! whistling a tune all day at work. Highley recommended but take only one of them tiny pills. Read More Read Less

I had the worst experience using dulcolax. The instructions say take 1 to 3 tablets. I took 2. I was nauseated which turned into vomiting several times. Oh yes it worked but the price I paid was not worth it. I am still in bed knowing if I start walking around I will vomit again.

Dulcolax allows me to go within 5 hours of ingestion however the side effects are intense. even though a movement is not produced for hours the cramps are almost instant, as are the chills. After relieving myself these side effects do not go away- they linger. If you feel any pain *while* going I recommend taking flax seed oil capsules alongside the dulcolax. I do not use Dulcolax anymore and if you have dealt with the same issues I wrote above you should give these a go: Colace, Senna, and flax seed oil.Read More Read Less

I would genuinely never take this again even if you paid me. Everyone’s bodies are different, so for some people, it works pretty fine, but for me, it was a nightmarish experience. I took some around 11pm last night before bed, because I know they work fine for my mom. I was fine until around 4am, when I woke up to a moderately bad stomach cramp and I figured that it was starting to kick in, so I headed to the bathroom. And then the pain began. I began having very intense stomach cramps and I am serious when I say that was the most pain I have ever been in my life. It was so bad, that I briefly was scared I had appendicitis or something serious and considered calling an ambulance. In addition to the stomach cramps, I also was sweating profusely and vomiting every 20 or so minutes. I sat on the toilet for more than an hour before I was able to actually use the bathroom and I had the worst diarrhea I’ve had in years. That finally helped relieve some of the stomach cramps and I finally stopped vomiting, but I ended up sitting on the bathroom floor for 20 minutes because I was scared of throwing up again. It wasn’t until past 6am that I felt ok enough to go back to bed for a few hours. It is now 11am, so around 12 hours after I took the medicine and while I feel better than before, I still do not feel super great. Like I said before, everyone’s bodies are different and some people may be perfectly fine, but I would never take it again after today. It helped with the constipation, but at the cost of having a very bad experience.Read More Read Less

Recently had surgery and needed relief from pain meds. I have taken this before and only had gas all day. Took the liquid last night around 10 pm and was awaken with extreme gas and horrible stomach pain. I had nausea so bad and couldn't throw up. Had cold sweats and shivering even though I was hot at the same time. Heart beat out of control. I was up for 4 hours not knowing what to do with myself. Felt like I needed an ambulance but couldn't move. Didnt want to embarrass myself. Had to take a nausea pill and a migraine pill. Have been to the bathroom several times with horrible diarrhea. It peaks and makes me feel so sick. I'm weak and hungry but so sick feeling I can't stand to make something to eat. The song " burning ring of fire" has new meanings now. Rear end raw and burning. It's 2pm now and I can barely sit on the couch because I feel so sick. Been in bed all day. I will never take this again. For you that don't have symptoms, pray you never do. I also took pepto to ease the pain. I suggest also taking nausea medicine.I feel like I have the flu.Read More Read Less

It does what it says - it helps you cleanse and stimulates a bowel movement. However, there is a lot of cramping, some nausea, and when it works depends on the individual. I've taken it three separate times - all for severe constipation issues. The first time, I took two pills as I mis-read the box. I thought I would die from the painful cramping and nausea which lasted for 5+ hours. The second time, I only took one pill, but I took it at night around 10 p.m. thinking it would kick in when I woke up.... nope, kicked it around 1 a.m. and I was awake for a little under an hour with diarrhea and cramps, but it worked. The third time, I took one but in the late morning.... didn't kick in until 6 p.m. with cramps and some small movements but nothing major.... the real effects didn't hit until almost 12 hours later, as I was going to bed. This treatment works, but when and how is very unreliable. I think I'm going to try to find something else, at least one that is less painful. Read More Read Less

I usually do not post reviews on products but I feel it would be an injustice not to do that in the situation. I can’t describe how horrible this medicine made me feel. After taking the median dose and going to bed because it said between 6-12 hours of relief, I woke up about 3 hours later with mild stomach pain but nothing uncommon. In just a few short hours, I started feeling feeling nauseaus, dizzy, and my stomach started cramping instead of justing hurting and then it happened. A wave of utter sickness came over me and I couldn’t breathe, I started sweating, stomach was severely cramping and I honestly thought I was going to die. I wanted to throw up but couldn’t. I could’nt lay down or stand up. This went on for about 2 hours. I almost had my husband call the hospital. The feeling finally settled but not after leaving me completely exhausted. I will never take this medicine again and I suggest to anybody reading these reviews does either. “Gentle and No Cramping” is a false statement when it comes to this medicine. Read More Read Less

I will never use this again. Why would anyone when a fleet enima produces a bowel movement with no pain? I am usually very regular but had a medical treatment that slowed everything down. I hadn't had more than a small BM in 5 days but they were not hard. So I decided a stimulant was needed to get things moving again and that it wouldn't be painful because I wasn't having hard stools. Oh my god. I used a suppository because why put it through your whole system. I was in complete agony. Sweat literally dripping off of me and making a puddle on the floor. So much cramping my body didn't know what to do. I laid on the floor for a few minutes and seriously considered just pushing while I was there instead of moving to the toilet because I'd pass out or vomit or both. This does not cause stomach cramps. This does not cause mild cramps. This causes severe cramps that trigger a vasovagal response, sweating, nausea, light headed out fainting. The passing of the stool isn't causing the symptoms the cramping induced by this medication does. I have pelvic floor disfunction so my muscles are too tight. Maybe that's what predicts who will have severe cramping. I will never take this again. Yes it stimulated my bowel but far more than necessary to just have a bowel movement. I did a full bowel prep for surgery with zero cramping. I would rather do that process again than take this product. It is not necessary and I don't think it should even be on the market. The label just lies. Mild stomach cramps? Your stomach doesn't cramp to make you poop. Your colon and rectum cramps to make you poop. The label needs to say severe intestinal cramping possible. I would NEVER give this to a child. I can't believe it says you can give it to kids 6 and older. Do not do it. If nothing else works, call you doctor.Read More Read Less

WHERE DO I BEGIN??? I have kidney issues so that gets me backed up often. Came home from work around 10am 3/37/2023. Told myself i would take it soon as i get home so i can have BM then shower. The box says take 1-3, so i took the median, 2. Sat on couch to play playstation and wait for lax to kick in. 30 minutes into the game i start to feel confusion and dizzyness. Had to turn it off and lay down as i didnt know why i was feeling this way. Nausea kicked in literally 2 minutes after i laid down and i had to pop up and rush to the bathroom. Barely closing the door i could only make it to the bathtub, because the tub is closer then the toilet, i violently vomited for the next 30 minutes. Had to lay on my bathroom floor with a pillow my girl brought, for the next hour, as im still waiting for bowel movement. However the burning feeling in my stomach i did not sign up for. Im laying on the bathroom floor next to my cat litter. Cat comes in to take a wiz next to my face. Body extremely hot, stomach cramps, weak, dizzy, list goes on. But still havnt had the urge for BM yet. Sweating, so i take off my long john top n bottom. Then chills come in, like wtf. Still laying on the floor because im too dizzy to stand up for longer then 10 seconds. I go lay down in bed because my hips were hurting from the floor. Drank two bottles of poland spring which felt like it made it worse. 1pm rolls around and now stomach starting to bubble. Severe stomach cramps every 5 minutes or so.along with every other symptom. Another hour later it felt like it was time to go. Sat on toilet for first session, that lasted 30 seconds as i had to immedietly drop to the floor from the toilet because i felt like fainting. (Couldnt even wipe first). Now im naked on the cold bathroom floor again, same symptoms. Fainted twice on floor. 3pm The same process again.Laid in bed, threw up another ten times. Then BM.12 hours, 4 am, on my 6th toilet session, its down to watery stools. Symptoms gone, only feel funny in my stomach. Right Now 11am next day, gassy stomach and dry mouth. Cant eat nothing. Just ginger ale. Honestly felt like calling 911 yesterday. DO NOT TAKE THIS CRAP. Unless you like the feeling of death..ide take the electric chair first….NEVER AGAIN!!!!!Read More Read Less

Well, where to start. Firstly, yes they are effective. But at a cost.. I took 2 tablets at around 10pm.. by 2:30am I was woken by mild stomach cramps.. sat awake for 15 mins and then decided it was time.. headed to the bathroom and oh dear. The pain was excruciating as the cramps intensified. Then came waves of nausea and sweats.. after half hour I finally managed to release the blockage. I would recommend 1 tablet only.

I read the reviews of others. Everyone’s body is different because I didn’t experience any cramping, sweating, nausea, light headedness, etc. I took it at 5PM. It did take about 10 hours to take effect(pill) but it was very gentle and gave me a good start to cleanse in prep for my colonoscopy tomorrow.

Ok, i am a very big female. And I am very constipated all the time, this is my first time and I took only one pill. There is some nausea, some heartburn, a little sharp pain on the side. That’s all, and some of the people on these reviews are dramatic, it’s not as bad.??
