I've been on this medication for one month. The only side effect was when I nicked myself shaving I didn't think the bleeding would stop. I've notice in the last few days that I'm feeling better than I have in some time. After riding my bicyle 10 miles my recover time was shorter than when I only rode 5 to 7 mile before getting the stent and starting this med.

I started taking Clopidogrel in 2013 after I suffered my first stroke. It has been working well other than minor bruising. I had more stroke symptoms in 2015, but it was not as bad as 2013. It has been working well for me, I do not have any complaints.

I have been taking this medication for 8 months since I had 5 stents ( 2 in june and 3 more 3 weeks later ). I take daily in the AM with an aspirin and have not had any adverse reactions.Taking first thing and eating only a lite breakfast keeps me from having any stomach problems I think. I do bruise easily and skin is opaque but that's a small price to pay.

I have had severe side effects from this medication, cold all the time, severe bruising, severe headaches, severe joint pain, feel like I have the flu everyday, struggle to get out of bed. This med has been a nightmare. I feel much worse than before I had my MI in 5/2013. Obviously med does not agree with me, but doctor does not care, says I'll be on it for my entire life.

I was prescribed this drug due to having a Abdominal Anerysm & also my left foot having hardly any pulse and my toes went black.Blocked arteries! I was told by a vascular surgeon to quit cigs or lose my leg (very tactful) and I am to see him in September 2014 to arrange to operate. I am smoking 2 cigs a day + using an e cig to help myself, this is instead of 20 per day,not happy but I am trying to help myself. Since taking this drug my bowel movements are very loose and exceptionally smelly which I have never suffered from before. Severe bloating of the stomach, cramping and generally feeling lethargic all the time. I cannot concentrate and I hate the fact that this diorrhea is causing me so much grief. I have a bad appetite anyway and am under weight,on Fortisip as a suppliment but rarely take any more, I would rather starve than continue to suffer this chronic gut problem any longer. I am depressed, feel despair and just want to go to sleep and not wake up any more. If I go to the GP he will hardly listen because this is his way. Life sucks big time. Read More Read Less

I was prescribed following a mild stroke. I feel week all the time and do not know if this medication may be the cause but am going to query my doctor on my next visit. I also take a combination water pill/blood pressure medication (triamterene-hctz 75-50 mg tablet) and suspect that it could also be the culprit.

I am a 57 year old female. I had a heart attack 3 weeks ago. I have experienced a slight light headed feeling, gas and some unexplained pains, nothing major. Some tightness in chest on exertion but don't know if Clolpidogrel is the cause of that or my heart. Going for more tests. Sometimes feel worried especially at night. Just thankful to take something to prevent another heart attack. Been told to take it for 6 months.

I just started taking the medication a few days ago, after having a stroke. To my surprise because I have always been in great health and I always avoided fatty foods. The doctors are still uncertain as to where the blood clot came from. I was put on this med after being released from the hospital and experiencing pain and numbness. I've noticed dizziness, weakness and light headedness after taking the med.

I have only been taking it for 2 weeks but the side effects are not as bad as expected. Headache has lessened and joint pain has too. Spent a lot of time in bathroom until Dr. gave me pills to correct. I have peptic ulcers so was worried about stomach problems. I take carafate and omepersol and so for no problem.main complaint is tired all the time, no energy.

I recently had a second bypass in my leg on a graft that had occluded which was done 10 years ago due to a congenital defect. After the first surgery I was on Coumadin for 2 years. I have been very pleased this time around with Clopidogrel. Only side effects have been one sore on my tongue and the occasional uncontrollable bleeding from my nose. This only happens during a sinus infection or after drinking alcoholic beverages. I take this medication and a large aspirin once daily and will be on it for the rest of my life. Read More Read Less

Generic clopidogrel from the manufacturer used by my pharmacy is a white round tablet of the same color as many of my other meds (very similar to amlodipine, for example). Other generic brands of Plavix are pink like the brand name drug. The similarity to other drugs makes it confusing to try to fill my dispensers and to take my meds as prescribed. Confusion I filling my dispenser is common, and I must be very, very careful (and slow) to be certain I am inserting the right meds. A change in color would be VERY helpful. The "white ones" also have a terribly bitter binder that other manufacturers' products do not have, resulting in terrible breath that no amount of brushing or using of mouth rinse will allay. Whoever made the decision to use that particular binder should have to take tablets of it for a couple of years; then, maybe it would change. The situation is so bad, that I will "pharmacy shop" within the CVS chain to see which location has the pink ones rather than run the risks and the really foul taste of the white ones. Luckily, CVS's computers keep track of refills for me.Read More Read Less
