It seems to work because I haven't had problems with my stents for 13 years); however I am not sure what is causing my muscular ache and loss. I am also on Crestor which might be affecting muscle function - as I believe Lipitor did. (Both of these latter drugs are statins for treating cholesterol)

I've been on this medication for one month. The only side effect was when I nicked myself shaving I didn't think the bleeding would stop. I've notice in the last few days that I'm feeling better than I have in some time. After riding my bicyle 10 miles my recover time was shorter than when I only rode 5 to 7 mile before getting the stent and starting this med.

I take other heart meds so I am not sure if this is the drug causing the bruising, muscle ache, weight gain especially in the stomach area, bloating, being tired. I was thinking it was the Crestor but after reading this I am not so sure.

Ever since my husband switched to Generic form he has had confusion and lack of sexual drive and anxiety and depression, also we have noticed more visible blood vessels in his eyes. He has also lost a lot of muscle mass and weight. He has been on Plavix for 4+ years these symptoms stated occurring when they switched to generic.

After 10 stents, Plavix seems to be doing it's job. Blood is thiiiiiiin! Only complaint is I bleed extremely easily after being cut and also bruise quite easily. BUT, I'm alive! I can live with the side effects. VOTE O'Bummer OUT. I'd be dead by now under O'Bummercare!

I was on Plavix for 8 years with no problems, but recently switched to the generic, Clopidogrel and have all sorts of side effects such as tingling and weakness in my arms, headache, tiredness, trouble breathing, and swelling of my tongue and throat. I called my dr. and switched back to Plavix today. I'll gladly pay the difference to feel good again.

I was put on this medication after a heart attack and CABG sugery. It works well for me, they only problem I have is with the bruising and bleeding from little scraps and bumps, Dr. lowered it from every day to every other day in Feburary.
