My triglycerides were a little over 200 when doctor prescribe this medicine. I didn't have that many side effects until I had a comprehensive metabolic panel of blood tests. My kidney function had deterioated that I was in Stage 3 kidney disease function. I looked up the side effects, for Diabetics this is not a good choice as it affects your kidneys! I contacted the FDA. I was on this 6 months. My kidney function is almos normal, now after a year but am now using Lovaza or any over the counter fish oil plus cinnamon to lower my blood sugar. I am also on statin meds. Be very careful if you are a Diabetic. Also, check each and every side effect this medicine has. Read More Read Less

dizziness, loss of concentration, allergy symptoms, increased discomfort in right lower back down below the knee, sleeplessness, hot flashes increased.

I have been on the Tricor for 9 days and yesterday I was so weak getting out of bed I fell to the floor. I have extream itching om my feet and hands. My feet and hands are now swelling up. I also now have hives on 50% of my body. My fingers are so swollen and sore that it is hard to use my hands. My feet are not much better. I also have flu like side effects (hot then cold). I am done taking this stuff. The other reviews confirm everything I am going through.

Ever since I started this medication I have stomach pains and gas

Triglyceride and Cholesterol are well below the required level. I have noticed a tired feeling in my legs, but the results outway the discomfort.

I have swollen feet and muscle weakness. Not sure why my doctor has not associated this with Tricor. My kidneys are having problems and so is my liver. I've been on Tricor for 1 year. The cost keeps going up. I'm going off it . Not worth staying on it.

after about 30 days of use of this drug i had things happening to me that i couldnt explain why they where happening then i went to webmd and looked at the side effects that where supposed to be rare, i found i had about 4 of those side effects happening to me or something very similar i will never take this drug again.

I took this drug for three days. On the third day I couldn't even lift my arms to use my mouse on my computer, was out of breath and just wanted to rest. My muscles ached. I quit taking it immediately.

This drug caused severe kidney pain, fingers to curl and sluggish depressed feeling. I was finding myself in tears and nerves torn apart after 1 week.

60 year old male. Tried this drug twice; 3 years ago and presently. I think it makes my mood turn somewhat negative. I take Tricor with Zetia and Welchol since ALL statins make my muscles hurt. These 3 do not and have lowered my cholesterol to acceptable levels. Have had no other side effects.

Was one of the rare one percent that had adverse reactions to this med. Severe sore throat, severe bronchitis, severe sinusitis. after 10 days of quitting still experiencing muscle pain. Only took 32 pills in as many days then took myself off it. will not recommend this medicine to anyone. Please review your stats.

Husband in hospital today with bad chest pain. Started Tricor 3 days ago and he has had ZERO energy, CONSTANT-SEVERE muscle and joint pain, gas, bloating, diarrhea, confusion. This drug needs to be taken OFF the market immedietly!

I am hiv+ and thought i was experiencing hiv related dementia until i read all the reviews about memory loss and concentration. I was taking tricor for a year or so but stopped them last week. I have energy now and I can REMEMBER THINGS. I forgot I could feel this good. GREAT website.

Ever since I started this drug I have been constipated and it seems I'm gaining weight even though I haven't changed eating habits and I do exercise every day.
