I have cluster headaches, which are considered a type of migraine. I'm 77, and have had them for 10 years, almost one a day. I take a combination of verapamil, lithium carbonate and gabapentin as preventives, but all they do is limit the severity (say 4,instead of 8 on 1 to 10 scale). I take Excedrine Migraine as my first abortive medicine; it works within 1 to 2 hours maybe 4 out of five times. W...

Don't be fooled by the packaging. It is NO DIFFERENT then regular Excedrin. It is Aspirin, Caffeine, and the same stuff that is in Tylenol. It barely touched my headaches, made my stomach hurt, and then I couldn't fall asleep, which would at least keep me from feeling the pain. Plus, it costs more then the regular Excedrin!

I'm a 19-year-old female who has experienced frequent and excruciating migraines for most of my life. My belief is that they are caused by stress, but they are triggered by loud noises, intense physical or mental exertion, lack of eating, emotional trauma, etc. The only thing that has EVER helped me is Excedrin Migraine. I had never experienced any side effects, but I must note that I generally have no reaction to caffeine and I rarely experience stomach distress. However, when my boyfriend, who regularly experiences stomach pains/diarrhea due to numerous causes, takes Excedrin migraine, he sometimes will experience stomach discomfort/cramping/diarrhea. If would not recommend this product if you are sensitive to caffeine. Moreover, I would also recommend using this product on a full stomach, regardless of whether or not you regularly experience stomach discomfort. I swear by Excedrin Migraine, and I would never use another product for my migraines and/or intense headaches. Read More Read Less

I have used this medication for several years and it's always worked if I catch the migraine at the beginning. However, the past several months, I have started noticing shortness of breath, anxiety and nausea after taking it. I'm wondering if the side effects are related to me breaking my caffine addiction.

I had the worst migraines in the world, nothing seemed to help but this. But after taking it for awhile it made the migraines worse, making them so bad I stopped taking indefinitely. I will never take this again, it has cause my heart rate to stay high and it still has not gone down to my normal rate. Do not take this medicine it will make your migraines worse and cause your heart rate to be way over the normal, mine is still at 116, when it used to be 80.

Not a good idea when caffeine is a major migraine trigger. It will take away the migraine, but you will have to stay on caffeine or endure a week long caffeine-withdrawal migraine! If it works for you it's because you have a caffeine addiction.

It always relieves my headaches, but one time I took more than the recommended dosage and ended up in the hospitalwith very swollen ankles. After other medical conditions were ruled out, I was told it was most likely from taking too much Excedrin Migraine.

A few months ago, I woke in the night losing alot of blood in my stool. I was not able to stand without passing out, called 911 and my blood pressure had dropped extremely low. I was immediately given one liter of blood and in the critical care unit for four days. I have not taken any aspirin since and have noticed a craving that drives me crazy at times, I am addicted to aspirin. I was using 6 aspirin a day to prevent horrible migraines and it worked well for me. I had to have three stomach bleeds treated. I was told that one aspirin taken now will be fatal because of bleeding in my stomach. Please be careful if you use aspirin products, I was not ready to die and came within inches of death. Since going through menopause, I constantly experience headaches, sometimes very bad. I have tried everything over-the-counter, and nothing worked. I kept seeing Excedrin Migraine advertised on TV and decided to try it. Man, am I glad I did! It is amazing. It shows it has the same ingredients as regular Excedrin, but there must be something in it they are not telling about. This is like a miracle drug. I had a pain in my back that was keeping me awake, and I thought, why not. It worked so well for my headaches, maybe it will help my back, and it did. It is great for all pains. I have recommended this product to others because it works great, and fast! Thank you Excedrin!Read More Read Less

Excedrin migraine has become a savior for me. I used to eat IB-profen like candy when i would get migraines but now i just take two of these babies at the first signs of my migraine and poof it is gone. I strongly suggest trying out this medication as an alternitive to prescription medications, if it works for you than you can possibly save yourself the hassle of dealing with all of the side effects of prescription strength drugs.
