MS Sulfate was introduced to act as a long lasting pain reliever. It also helps to induce sleep.

Have degenerative disc condition and have had seven surgries, 16 screws 4 rods, days weeks and months of moderate to sevre pain. Was blessed to have been provided a great pain managment Doctor who provided me time to detail me condition and was a good listener! He has had me on morphine time release pill for about a year. I recently have elected to deal with the pain and reduce my dependincy on opiants and am now weaning off with vicoden. I now can express an xccurate opinion on effectiveness. Yes it works with no feeling of being high. yes it has side effects as all drugs do. Yes witdraw is tough, yes other drugs will provide better pain control. But this medication works as well as any I have used in the last 25 years. Chronic pain is rough but like other issues in this world you better learn to deal with your condition in your mind, the medication will only relieve some pain not remove it. If you are unable to deal with your condition in your head any opium drug will be devasting to you and those around you.Read More Read Less

I have been taking the tablets for a week--have severe whiplash for 3 years. It works fairly well for pain but am going to have to quit taking it. I have some trouble with memory and breathing. Also rapid heartbeat. Not a good feeling!

I have neck and lower back pain. Even after surgery on both areas I have a great deal of pain. I've been on morphine sulfate for four years 30mg twice a day. Pain level never below 4 and will go as high as a 9. Minor side effects but mental confusion and memory loss a big problem. I want off but docs say that would be a bad idea. Don't try to ween yourself because it doesn't work. Withdrawl problems are herendous!!!
