My sister was given Fluocinonide by her doctor for an itchy scalp and her hair was falling out. She used this medication for about three months and like some miracle, her hair grew in extremely thick and looks like a perm! Her hair has always been naturally straight. She's ok with having curly hair now, but more ecstatic about having so much thick hair. I am going to try using this medication sinc...

I used Fluocinonide Gel USP, 0.05% for canker sores. I have used this for over 20 years and it's a miracle drug for this problem. The minute I get pain from any mouth problem, i.e., a bite, scratch from food, I put a small amount on the sore. If I do this, it never developes into a major sore. It's worked miracles for me. I've had canker sores since I was 9 years old and this is the only thing that works. I've had no side effects from using this drug.

After trying other prescriptions like clobetesol and ciclopirox which didn't seem to help, this was like majic from the first time I applied it. I had tried these scripts and other over the counter remedies and kept being disappointed and really frustrated. I had itchy scales in my ears and the other steroids and antifungals didn't work. What a miracle!! No BS!!!

Suffered over 6 months with itchy rashes about 5-10 red pimples in each rash that form in different parts of the body like hands, leg, body except face. New rash would form every few days. Doctor diagnosed eczema. After applying fluocinonide .05% ointment twice a day the rashes healed completely after about 4 or 5 weeks of treatment. New rashes are forming very infrequently now and much milder and heals quickly in about a week. However a more severe rash around the stomach area didnt heal even after applying ointment twice a day for over two months. So now the doctor prescribed clobetasol propionate .05% cream which is the strongest steriod made for two weeks. It is dangerous to use more than two weeks what I have read. Lets see if this clears up the problem.Read More Read Less

Fluocinonide Gel USP, 0.05% was prescribed to me by an oral surgeon due to a topical infection inside the front portion of my mouth and some on the side of my tongue. The instructions stated to apply four times daily. The problem was alleviated within a short time but does return occasionally. On the box containing this product it indicates "For external use only." Is this safe to use orally?

This medication was prescribed for me for hair loss. I have been using it since December, 2009. I oil my scalp with it once daily. At one point it seemed to slow the hair loss, however, the loss has resumed. I visited my Dermatologist again on march 17, 2010 and he advised me to keep using it and he gave me injections in the bald spots. I would like to know if anyone else has used it for hair loss and what their experience has been. While using it within the last two months I have two bald spots. I am overly concerned about the loss of my hair. Do you have any suggestions or other recommendations to combat this loss. I am 65 years old and have always had a full healthy head of hair. I would like to add that I am a post-transplant patient of nearly fours years. I take about 20 different medications and have never had a problem with hair loss until recently.Read More Read Less

I have a rare form of eczema and have had for about 8 years now. After I use it, it works for a little while, but it always flares right back up. So far however, it has been the best.

For two years I had a severe case of psoriasis, but only on my hands. Five Drs. did not know what it was. For more than a year they treated me with no effective results. They finally told me to go see a specialist. I went to a Dr. that I knew who had treated my mother. A young female Dr. She perscribed Fluocinonide 0.05% topical ointment. She also explained that there is no cure for psoriasis, but the ointment when applied daily works. It took a few weeks to get it under control, but now a year later, it is under control. I still have to use it every night at bedtime and wear a pair of gloves over my hands, but I am no longer in pain. I am elated that someone was able to help me.Read More Read Less

I have lichen sclerosis. I have used various treatments for almost 20 years. This was a new treatment for me. I was a little worried when a new Dr. prescribed it for me. It has worked much better and faster than any others I've used.
